Astral Harvest Festival – Lesser Slave Lake, Alberta
In collaboration with Deliria (canopy design), Golem (stage design and projection) and PK Sound, Lumatronic lit the main stage at Astral Harvest Festival. Lumatronic designed a lighting plan to effectively light the canopy at night, each piece of stretched fabric was treated like a pixel in a giant low resolution video screen. Sixty colour changing lights were attached around the canopy lighting up each section. The light’s address and location where used to map the canopy’s features and geometry.
The main stage was equipped with three high-powered lasers, a thirteen foot LED screen, LED strips and hundreds of large pixel LEDs that mapped the geometry of the stage turning it into a thirty foot alien spaceship video screen. Tricks of perception were used by simultaneously combining lasers, LEDs and projection.
